All episodes in the month of September will be dedicated to conversations about dementia. The aim of the series is to raise awareness of dementia and experiences of it across the world.

The second episode in our Dementia series is an intimate discussion between Dr Bahijja Raimi-Abraham and her mother (Ms Feyi Raimi-Abraham) on her experience as a caregiver of a parent living with dementia and her new initiative, The Black Dementia Company.

Biography - Feyi Raimi-Abraham

​

Feyi Raimi-Abraham is a legally qualified Employee Relations Specialist, trainer and mediator with a particular interest in creative employment relationships.

​

She writes on the arts with a focus on Africa and its diaspora. Feyi also has a blog called Zaynnah Magazine.

​

Feyi is also her mother's care-giver. She founded The Black Dementia Company in August 2020 with the aim of meeting the needs of persons living with dementia - including and especially those from the global African and Caribbean community.

​
